I can honestly say that trackpad on that computer is better than any Windows Laptop trackpad I've used since then, even on the really high end Lenovos, which are known for good input devices. But functionality? Better trackpad? "Who gives a shit" apparently is everyone's motto. They certainly didn't mind copying the look of their phone and the phone's icons and stuff as in, completely superficial shit. once a month? Less than that? It was perfect, and I used the thing for nearly ten years before I was forced to replace it with a new laptop.Ĭonsidering how Apple changed the game with computers and phones since like 15 years ago, you'd think other manufacturers would have taken note and tried to match them in this regard. The frequency at which the damn thing would act on something I didn't intend on was maybe. It did everything I wanted and never did anything I didn't want. The trackpad on that beauty was marvelous.

My first laptop was a Macbook Pro bought in 2009. I can't even use one for two minutes straight without the trackpad acting on something I didn't do or didn't want to do. You should see a tab at the top that offers a way into your manufacturer’s touchpad software. This opens the Mouse Properties dialog box. Back on that same Touchpad tab where you reset your Windows touchpad settings, scroll down a bit more and click the “Additional Settings” link. If you don’t see an icon there, you can also get to those settings through the Windows Settings app.

Click or double-click that (different manufacturers do that differently) to open your touchpad settings. Click the “Show Hidden Icons” arrow on the left end of the tray and look for an icon that resembles a touchpad. On many laptops, you can find an icon for that software in your system tray. If you’ve also got touchpad software from the manufacturer installed, you’ll need to reset your touchpad settings there, too. On the right, scroll down a bit and then click the “Reset” button under the “Reset Your Touchpad” section. On the Devices page, select the “Touchpad” category on the left.
