Odds are you have a home-spun database that was written in Access 2000 that is not compatible with newer versions, so i understand that. Officially Office 97, Office 2000, and Office XP do NOT work on Windows 7, but since i've personally installed Office 97 and Office 2000 (specifically Access) on Windows 7, i'm not convinced that Office 2000 is not compatible with Windows 8.īut as Kkyishkkii brought up: Why would you want to run a 13 year old productivity application?

You may need to run it in compatibility for Windows XP SP3, or possibly even in XP mode (is that still a feature in 8?) but there shouldn't be any reason why Office 2000 won't work on Windows 8. Office 2000 does not run on Windows 7 64bit though, so Windows 8 64bit almost certainly will not support it. I can't say for sure, but Office 2000 works with Windows 7, so it should be possible to run Office 2000 on Windows 8.
